A sliver, a slice and slab at a time…

Today, is the beginning of a 30 day series on the ZENgevity theory of weight loss or “getting light” mind, body and soul!

For those who are new to ZENgevity, we are a Body, Brain, Balance program for ages 50 and better who want to create a long, healthy and happy life!

Each day, I will share thoughts and feelings on this complex issue of body weight. There is a wealth of info out there on diets, weight loss and reasons why. The ZENgevity program is an in depth Intuitive Body Mind Eating plan. It’s not a quick fix, lose 10 lbs. in 10 days or starve yourself plan. If you have tried that and tried everything and it doesn’t work for you or only worked temporarily for you, then maybe this is the program for you! We welcome YOU!

Check in each day for motivation, inspiration, tools and tips to “Be light!” I will share my journey with you and I invite you to share YOURs with me in the comments below.

CAKE…a down fall for me. I love cake, crave cake and love to bake cake. The smell is erotic to me. At first, it’s just a sliver fresh from the oven, then a slice then a SLAB! I can and have eaten a whole cake! After years of this kind of behavior, the weight has caught up to me. I am the average, over 50 and over 20 pounds, overweight woman. The next 30 days I am going to get really HONEST with myself and I invite YOU to join me and get HONEST with yourself! Are you a healthy weight?

    Food has always been my stress reliever. Working on channeling it into better options!

    I confess I am a baker, so I know how I can eat cake and not turn it down. I have recently went from underweight all my life to having Graves Disease and gaining 20 lbs in one year. I have to figure out how to lose these inches as I can’t get into any of my clothes. I will check out your blog and see what tips you can give me.

    Sugar. I love sugar. Cookies, candy, cake, ICE CREAM! Just sweets in general. I could eat dessert all day every day.

    I can also eat healthy when I set my mind to it. As long as it’s for a set amount of time. I’ll drop a healthy amount of weight in that time. Then, on the last day, I celebrate with dessert! And then I have the taste in my mouth again. 🙁
