Acceptance. As we go into the weekend, we recognize another week has come and gone (good, bad, indifferent or as it is…it is as we perceive it.
We can accept that.
It’s Spring and Mother Nature may send us flowers or snowstorms. We can accept that.
How are we at accepting the people in our lives? Family, Friends or Clients?
How are we at accepting our own self? Do we accept our body?
There is no finer way to accept people then as they are. Mr. Rogers said it all when he use to say “I like you just the way you are.” No judgment, no criticism and no repulsion. In life, we are often faced with challenging people. The challenge is really in ourselves. Can we accept others and ourselves just as they are without rejection and reactions? Are we accepting of their frailties, vulnerabilities and their antics?
Does our ego or fear get in our way of acceptance? Or, do we draw from that energy source of spirit to pave our way to acceptance?
How are you practicing acceptance?
The first step in “losing weight” is acceptance for what is.
And, accepting myself for who I am.
Each day for the next 30 days, I will be musing on what we need to be lighter in life in body, mind and spirit. Feel free to add your own comments and musings. Take the next 30 days to begin to be conscious of how you feel about you, your weight and your life.
