Cyber Monday and my Internet service has gone missing…
Here it is Cyber Monday and there are deals everywhere online, just like Black Friday and Small Business Saturday in the stores. Only, my internet services at home, at my office are GONE, ka-put, DOWN, no connection and I mean NO INTERNET!!!
How will I live through the day? If you get to read this Blog, it means the internet IS working at Barnes and Noble where I sit with my cappuccino and corn muffin (absolutely delicious, BTW) writing this Blog post. I was greeted by a super friendly Café worker and the store’s Manager. After all, I was the first customer in the door. I like that! I like when I am treated as a customer with a capital C. I was treated with kindness, generosity (a $10. off certificate for a box of Godiva chocolates) and sincere friendliness. I might come here every morning to do my Blog, check my email, Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In and PayPal accounts. I might buy a magazine or two and do some gift book shopping for the Holidays. A smile, a little friendliness, generosity and kindness to their customers will pay off big time in sales, free publicity through Social Media posts and kindness back. As we go through this Holiday season, how may we “give back” and I don’t mean re-gifting.
Courageous Challenge: How might you “give back” this Holiday season to your students, to clients, to customers or to charities?
Share in the comments below your best “give back”.
